SC Program for Infant/Toddler Care

The SCPITC Professional Development program offers a series of trainings that are focused on supporting the unique needs of children birth to three years old. In addition to training, a certified Infant/Toddler Specialist will provide coaching and mentoring to help you improve your center or home child care program.


Infant & Toddler Guidelines Training Series

The Infant & Toddler Guidelines (ITG) is a resource available to infant and toddler care-teachers in South Carolina. This document will help you understand how to support children’s development from birth through three years old.

The Infant & Toddler Field Guide is a companion to the Infant & Toddler Guidelines and is designed to help deepen your understanding of infant & toddler development, provide ideas to strengthen care teaching practices, and encourage you to seek out and try new approaches.

ABC Child Care

You may want to consider moving up a Level in ABC! Programs enrolled in ABC at Levels A+, A, B+, and B can receive conference scholarships and priority in many professional development activities and can also earn incentive rewards for providing high quality care when funds are available.
