***ATTENTION …….PARENTS, SERVICE PROVIDERS/COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOR CHILDREN BIRTH TO FIVE YEARS OF AGE, EARLY CHILDHOOD ADVOCATES….. Come let your voices be heard……To better understand the needs of young children and their families in South Carolina, regional meetings are occurring to gather feedback from stakeholders (parents, providers, advocates, etc.). Information from these meetings will be used to inform a strategic plan focused on promoting positive outcomes for South Carolina children and families. Grant Will Help Coordinate Early Childhood Services

The May meeting of the Governor’s Advisory Committee on the Regulations of Child Care Facilities has been changed to Thursday, May 23rd from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The meeting will be held in Room 307-310 at the DSS State Office located at 1535 Confederate Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201.The original meeting scheduled for May 28th, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm has been cancelled.

New Legislation for Family Child Care Homes (FCCH) takes effect July 1, 2017 and and it will require 10 hours of training instead of 2 hours of training for licensed and registered family child care providers.  Click here for more information. 

Congratulations ABC Child Care Programs recognized for promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding.  For more information click here.

Child care providers are growing their quality with ABC.  Click here to see who recently moved up or moved in at Level B or above!!!
