Child Care and Development Fund Public Hearing Announcement
The South Carolina Department of Social Services serves as the Lead Agency responsible for the administration of the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF). The Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 2014 requires that each state develop a State Plan to be implemented during a three-year period (FY 2025-2027). The Plan describes how the CCDF program will be administered and must be submitted to the United States Department of Health and Human Services - Administration for Children and Families no later than July 1, 2024.

Supplemental Funds for Child Care Disaster Recovery – Hurricane Ian – PROVIDER SURVEY TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR FUNDS
On September 28, 2022, Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency as a result of Hurricane Ian. On November 21, 2022, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. authorized a major disaster declaration and ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by Hurricane Ian. FEMA identified eight (8) counties as qualifying for federal disaster assistance.
