ABC Provider Enrollment Requirements

Level A+ and A


The Provider must:

  • Have a current license/approval with a history of compliance to regulations.
  • Meet Part I of the ABC Level A Standards.
  • Receive an on-site program review and receive an average score of 4.5 on the Environment Rating Scales (ITERS-R, ECERS-R, and/or SACERS) appropriate for each age group of children in randomly selected classrooms. Additionally, each classroom observed must earn a minimum score of 4.0 on the Interaction Subscale.
  • Be selected by an eligible client.
  • Not use corporal punishment.
  • Meet the Level A required Staff-Child Ratios.


Level B+ and B


The Provider must:

  • Have a current license/approval with a history of compliance to regulations, or legal exemption.  Exception: Family child care homes may be registered.
  • Meet Part I of the ABC Level B Standards.
  • Receive an on-site program review on Part II of the ABC Level B Standards and receive a score of at least 80% or higher on the ABC Child Care Standards for each age group to be enrolled.
  • Be selected by an eligible client.
  • Not use corporal punishment.

 

Level C


The Provider must:

  • Have a current license/approval with a history of compliance to regulations, or legal exemption. Exception: Family child care homes may be registered.
  • Meet the ABC Level C Standards.
  • Be selected by an eligible client.
